Deha Yoga Teacher Trainings

Megan Piersma, ERYT 500/YACEP

Megan is Deha's lead teacher trainer and is passionate about developing and supporting other teachers as they realize their full potential.

Megan is certified in vinyasa, yin, restorative and kundalini. She has studied yoga philosophy, sanskrit, anatomy. She has taken trainings in meditation, pranayama and ayurveda. Her advanced teacher training program was through Semperviva Yoga College in Vancouver, BC where she had the immense honor of training with international yoga masters such as Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa and Gurushabd Singh Khalsa, Sally Kempton, Gloria Latham, Bernie Clark, Ana Forrest, Janet Stone, Anodea Judith and many more. Megan has recently begun to train with Tias and Surya Little in Prajna Yoga.

Megan has been teaching full time in Anchorage since 2011 and has over 3500 hours of teaching experience. Through Deha Yoga, Megan offers shorter, module-style teacher trainings so that current RYTs can become certified in styles of yoga that were maybe only touched upon in their 200-hour training. These trainings are typically scheduled for evenings and weekends only, allowing teachers to attend around work, school or family life.
