Restorative Thai is the product of Megan's many years of teaching yoga to students that are overworked, stressed, exhausted, anxious or otherwise depleted. This deeply restful self-care session will help guide you back towards a state of balance, restfulness and ease.
This healing session involves 3 parts:
First, we will begin with a conversation about your needs and goals for well-being, followed by 20-30 minutes of thai massage, then finishing up with a guided yoga nidra practice.
WHAT IS THAI MASSAGE? The Thai practitioner guides you through a series of yoga postures, while palming and thumbing along your body’s energy lines (also known as Sen lines) and pressure points. Together these actions of compressing, pulling, stretching and rocking your body result in a comprehensive full body treatment that relieves muscular tension, improves circulation, boosts the immune system and balances the body energetically. This service is performed on a thick, comfortable mat on the floor and both you and your practitioner are dressed in comfortable, loose clothing, allowing for ease of movement of arms, legs and spine.
WHAT IS YOGA NIDRA? Whether you are looking for more restful sleep, a reduction in stress and anxiety, or you are simply interested in exploring the inner workings of your unconscious, Yoga Nidra can provide the perfect opportunity for all. Commonly known as “yogic sleep,” Yoga Nidra is an ancient practice designed to relax both body and mind in order to bring the conscious and unconscious into harmony, oftentimes reducing symptoms of hypertension, insomnia, anxiety, chronic pain, digestive disorders and more. Various research shows an hour of Yoga Nidra can be as restful as four hours of deep sleep!
