Giving Back

Deha Yoga is proud to call Anchorage home. And because Anchorage is home, we know it to be our responsibility to spread kindness, peace and love wherever we go. We also believe that yoga should be accessible to ALL, so we strive to make this a reality through several outreach and donation-based practices.

Our 2017/2018 winter charity is AWAIC.

We have 6 classes through September and October that are donation-based, with proceeds going to AWAIC.
  • Saturday, September 29, 11-12:15 > Yin Yoga with Hannah
  • Thursday, October 5, 12-1pm > Restorative Yoga with Ashlee
  • Friday, October 6, 6-8pm > Candlelight Yoga with AWAIC & lululemon
  • Saturday, October 7, 4-6pm > GODDESS NIGHT: an honest and open conversation about pelvic floors with women, for women
  • Friday, October 30, 7-8:30pm > Ladder of Light: a chakra-focused practice + gong bath with Megan

To register for any of these classes, visit the class schedule and find the correct date. You can also call the studio and we will add you to the list.

$10-20 cash donation for each. If cash is not an option, please bring a new or lightly used bath towel for donation to the AWAIC shelter.

Yoga Exchange

As a studio that promotes the well-being of ALL, we believe that everyone should be able to come to classes, regardless of their financial situation. At Deha Yoga you can earn classes in exchange for helping out with class check-in, studio clean-up or special events. Please contact frontdesk@dehayoga.com or visit the studio for more details.

Community & Special Events

Deha’s teachers are committed to giving back. If you know of someone in need or a charity that could use a boost or an event where some yoga would really elevate the atmosphere, don’t hesitate to call us. We also do group privates, special classes for professionals, team-building classes, birthday celebrations, kids activities, holiday parties… you name it, we will do our best. WE LOVE GIVING BACK!!! Because, really, what else is life about?
