Eric has lived in Alaska for 20 years and now lives in Anchorage with his wife and daughter. He has been practicing yoga since 2010 and teaching since 2015. He received his 200-hour teaching certificate with Karen & Bruce Greenwood, both pioneering members of the yoga community. Their training was alignment-based, giving Eric the foundation for his vinyasa flow that he enjoys teaching today. Expect a warm, challenging, high energy flow that will focus on the basics of alignment, movement and concentration. Eric wants his students to HAVE FUN while stretching their bodies, minds and hearts all the while rocking out to his fantastic playlists.
Eric instructs the following:
A vinyasa flow practice where we explore all the usual postures (sun salutes, the warriors, backbends, hip openers) in a fluid and creative way. This is a practice where you can lose yourself in the simple rhythm of linking breath with movement. The level of the class will depend on the teacher and the needs of the students. You can always make classes easier or more challenging for yourself by following the teachers' cues for variations and modifications of the poses. 80 degrees.
